Amazon Tattoo Policy in 2023 (Warehouse & More)

Updated on:

It wasn’t so long ago that people with tattoos were perceived as rebels or outcasts. Today, however, many people with tattoos are mainstream. In fact, according to a recent survey, one in three Americans has at least one tattoo.

There are a number of reasons for the growing acceptance of tattoos. One reason is that people are becoming more open-minded about different types of body art. Another reason is that many people see tattoos as a form of self-expression.

The growing acceptance of tattoos has been seen in various fields of life, such as the workplace. In the past, people with tattoos were often discriminated against in the job market. Today, however, more and more employers are accepting tattoos and piercings.

However, more doesn’t mean all – at least not yet.

If you’ve been on the lookout for a new job lately, you might be wondering which workplaces have a relaxed tattoo policy.

In today’s article, we will take a look at the current tattoo regulations at Amazon – the world’s leading online marketplace. Home to over half a million employees, Amazon is one of the largest employers in the United States.

Amazon Tattoo Policy

If you’re covered in ink and looking to score that gig at Amazon, good news is coming your way.

The Seattle-based retail giant has extremely relaxed tattoo laws – or no laws at all. Whether you’re looking to find a job in the warehouse, Amazon stores or as a delivery driver, you don’t have to worry about being rejected because of your tattoos.

Judging by the comments of workers and ex-workers, there’s absolutely zero discrimination against people with body art at Amazon.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can show up to your interview or first day on the job with a Svastika on your forehead (or that you should have a tattoo in this form anyway). Tattoos are absolutely fine in any place on the body, as long as they’re not offensive (eg. racist, sexist, homophobic, etc).

In conclusion, if you’re looking for a job at Amazon and have tattoos, don’t worry – you’re not at a disadvantage.

More About Amazon

E-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence are the main areas of concentration for Amazon.com, a global American technology business with headquarters in Seattle. Along with Google, Apple, and Facebook, it is regarded as one of the Big Four tech firms.

Jeff Bezos established Amazon in 1994 as an online bookshop, but it has since grown to sell a variety of goods, including electronics, software, video games, clothing, furniture, food, toys, and jewelry. In terms of market capitalization, Amazon surpassed Walmart in 2015 to become the most valuable retailer in the US.

Tattoo Policies at Other Workplaces

Amazon sounds like a great place to work but it’s always good to have a plan B). Feel free to check the current tattoo policies at other popular workplaces such as Walmart, Buffalo Wild Wings or Menards.

  1. Amazon has asked my friend to cover his arm due to his Native American swastika on his arm? He feels like his job is at stake and offended and singled out he’s worked in the warehouse for 7 months and this has just came up. Is this discrimination?
